Training Programs & Classes

After 20 years of providing our one of a kind premier puppy drop off day school program we are thrilled to continue offering this proven signature curriculum! Enrollment is now open for Fall/Winter 2026 new students! 

Who is day school for:

• Puppies up to 6 months old (Puppies must be friendly to attend)

• Busy puppy parents who need a helping hand training their puppy

• Puppy parents who would like Miss Cindy to train their puppy for them

• Puppies who have had a minimum of 2 rounds of puppy vaccinations (DHPP), a negative fecal test, and a Bordetella vaccine 14 days prior to attending school

How it works:

• First, please fill out our 'New To School Form'

• Once I receive your 'New To School Form' I will reach out by phone to set up a time for your FREE in person - Puppy Campus Consultation - ('New To School Forms' are answered on Tues, Wed, Thurs)

• YES! You receive a FREE in person - Puppy Campus Consultation - here at the Cheerful Puppy Campus (please bring your puppy along too!)

• Once you are enrolled, you drop your puppy off to Miss Cindy, and you go do whatever your little heart desires while your puppy is being trained

• When you pick your puppy up, you'll receive a - Puppy Parent Teacher Conference - to learn everything your puppy learned that day, so you can carry it home with you to continue reinforcing the training there, you can also ask any questions you may have during the conference

• Puppy day school is not a doggie daycare, think of it like a preschool for kiddos except this is for puppies to learn, train, and grow!

• Any and all pricing is shared with you through your free in person consultation so we can all meet to connect, I can learn more about your goals, and provide additional information. Because every pup and every persons goals are different for training the curriculum is tailored to your pup and you, the free consultation helps me get info from you on the help you would like, to give you the most accurate pricing, we do not provide pricing over the phone or by email for puppy day school

Sometimes individuals or families prefer a more one-on-one approach to training their puppy or adult dog. The session includes myself, your canine companion , and you (the owner). We will discuss what you’d like to learn, and tailor a training program specifically for you and your canines goals, plus I’ll add plenty of extras to help you and your canine companion succeed! I work around your schedule as much as possible when setting up your session. The session is detailed and packed with information, that you will carry home with you and continue the training with your canine, training takes time, patience, and consistency from the human to be the canine's trusting leader! You see, we know every dog has different unique needs, and we are here to help you learn exactly what your dogs are, during your private lesson session!

• If you have a dog 1+ year old and they have had no training or need a refresher on the obedience/good manners like obedience cues, not to jump on you or other people, walking nicer on a leash, focus, impulse control, etc. Please note: This little school is dedicated exclusively to only obedience and good manners  

• Private lessons are held here at our facility in Otsego, MI 

• Please note: We no longer offer rehabilitation for canines with any type of aggression-based behaviors. In this context, "aggression" refers to dogs that bite, attempt to bite, or display intense barking, lunging, and growling—whether out of frustration or intent to harm—toward people, other animals, or both.  Please note that this is different from typical puppy behaviors like mouthing, play-nipping, or vocal play (barking and growling), which are a normal part of a puppy's development and can be fully addressed through my training here

Our group puppy training classes are held over a 3-week period, one day a week, for 50-60 minutes each class. These classes are an opportunity for you and your puppy to learn with other people and their pups. You will receive emails listing what you learned in class along with extra take home training tips so you can continue and add to the training at home.

Please know, we do ask for a minimum of 2 rounds of puppy vaccinations (DHPP) and a negative fecal test from your vet.

 If your puppy is an excessive barker or not friendly with other pups, please inform me before attending. We may need to start in a more private or semi-private setting than group.

After completing Puppy Group Class, you can enroll in a Puppy II Group Workshop and then next up is our Intermediate - Advanced Group Class!

Puppy II Group Workshop

For: Any Age

After completing Puppy I Group Class you can continue on your training journey with your canine companion to a 90 minute Puppy II Group Workshop!

Intermediate - Advanced Group Class

For: Any Age

Next up on your training journey after completing Puppy II is Intermediate - Advanced Group Class where we offer intermediate-advanced obedience, plus our popular Gym4Paws which helps improve your pup's physical and mental abilities through canine conditioning, stretching, and strengthening exercises We also introduce agility fun, tailored to your pup's age and safety. Enrichment activities are included too. It's a whole lot of fun and learning all mixed together, you won't want to miss it!
